Free BitDefender Tool To Remove Adware

You can use a free tool from Bitdefender to help detect and remove adware running on your system. What is adware? Adware is a type of malware on your system that might pop up ads while you’re online, or change your home page to something different. Adware is dangerous because it can dramatically affect the performance of your computer and cause you to click links that take you to sites where more dangerous viruses can be installed. Adware can be obtrusive and dangerous and should be removed if you think you are infected.

Save the download to a place where you will find it easily, such as your desktop or downloads folder. Once the application is downloaded, click the .exe file to begin the installation.
You will be asked to read and accept the End User License Agreement. Once the EULA box is checked, click Next to begin the scan.

The scan will begin immediately. Depending on the size of your hard drive and the amount of applications you have, the scan could take several minutes.

When the scan is complete, the results will show whether anything was found or not. If anything is found, it will give you the option to remove it.
So if you find that your computer has been running slow or behaving strange, try the Bitdefender Adware scanner. It’s free. But remember, this is a detection tool and does not provide stand-alone, real-time protection from viruses and adware. It is similar to Malwarebytes, another free tool we recommend.  You should always have an active, up-to-date antivirus installed on your computer.
